Week 1, #2 and Week 2, #3 and #4
When reading about the 7 1/2 Habits of Highly Successful Lifelong Learners, I thought of a book our staff is reading called Discovering and Exploring Habits of Mind. In that book, there are 16 types of intelligent behavior, some of which really speak to me--thinking flexibly, finding humor, responding with wonderment and awe. So, though there are not strict correlations, both lists attempt to have the reader think about how he/she reacts to situations and how he/she learns and grows. Looking at the 7 1/2 Habits, I think my toughest challenge is to begin with the end in mind--I find that sometimes I jump in without thinking specifically about goals or outcomes. I feel I accept responsibility for my own learning and I do view problems as an opportunity to learn.

Wow! Love your avatar! She stands out because she has no background to distract. Very nice.
Welcome to School Library Learning 2.0 -- good to see you and your team working through it together. That is the best way to learn and share.
Best wishes.

Hi Jane,
I'm so glad that you came up with the idea for all of us to work through this together. It's been very motivating! I look forward to learning together.
